การสร้างทางหลวงแผ่นดินสายชนบท - ร้อยเอ็ด - อุบลราชธานี เมื่อ พ.ศ. ๒๔๘๐ (ปจจุบันคือทางหลวงแผ่นดินหมายเลข ๒๓ ถนนแจ้งสนิท)
มีภาพร่างสเก็ตช์แผนที่ระบุพิกัดที่กิโลเมตร ๐ ในอ�าเภอชนบท จังหวัดขอนแก่น ถึงกิโลเมตรที่ ๖๐ ในอ�าเภอบรบือ จังหวัดมหาสารคาม มีภาพประกอบคือ
ที่ท�าการหมวดกองทางบ้านไผ่ สะพานไม้ข้ามล�าน�้า เครื่องจักรกลที่ใช้งานและเส้นทางที่ก�าลังสร้าง

ภาพตั้งแต่หน้า ๑๒๐ ถึง ๑๒๔ คือชุดภาพการสร้างทางหลวงแผ่นดินสายชนบท - ร้อยเอ็ด - อุบลราชธานี เมื่อ พ.ศ. ๒๔๘๐
ได้บันทึกภาพถ่ายพร้อมกับร่างภาพสเก็ตช์แผนที่แนวเส้นทางก�ากับไว้ในอัลบั้มภาพถ่ายโดยเจ้ากาวิละวงศ์ ณ เชียงใหม่ ต�าแหน่ง
นายช่างก�ากับการภาค กองทางภาคอิสาณ กรมโยธาเทศบาล (พ.ศ. ๒๔๘๔ เปลี่ยนชื่อเป็นกรมทาง กระทรวงคมนาคม)
ต่อมาในสมัยรัฐบาลจอมพล ป. พิบูลสงคราม ได้ขนานนามถนนสายนี้ว่า “ถนนแจ้งสนิท” เมื่อ พ.ศ. ๒๔๙๓ เพื่อเป็นเกียรติแก่
นายวินิต แจ้งสนิท อดีตนายช่างส�านักแขวงการทางบ้านไผ่ ปจจุบันคือทางหลวงแผ่นดินหมายเลข ๒๓ (บ้านไผ่ - อุบลราชธานี)
ชุดภาพนี้ทั้งหมดเป็นสมบัติของหอจดหมายเหตุแห่งชาติ

Pages 120 - 124 contain a series of photographs of the 1937 construction of Chonnabot - Roi Et - Ubon Ratchathani Highway.
Chao Kawilawong na Chiangmai, Highway Engineer, Northeastern Highway Division, Department of Public Works, photographed
and compiled the album. In 1950 the Phibunsongkhram government named it Chaengsanit Road, in honor of Mr Wichit Chaeng-
sanit, former Ban Phai highway engineer. The road is now a part of National Highway No.23, Ban Phai - Ubon Ratchathani.
