ตั้งแต่หน้า ๑๕๔ ถึง ๑๖๓ คือชุดภาพการตรวจราชการของพระพิศาลสุขุมวิท (ประสบ สุขุม) อธิบดีกรมโยธาเทศบาล (ต่อมา
คือกรมทางหลวง กระทรวงคมนาคม) โดยได้เดินทางมาตรวจการสร้างทางหลวงแผ่นดินสายชนบท - มหาสารคาม - ร้อยเอ็ด
(ปจจุบันคือทางหลวงหมายเลข ๒๓ ถนนแจ้งสนิท) และทางหลวงแผ่นดินสายมหาสารคาม - กาฬสินธุ์ (ปจจุบันคือทางหลวง

Pages 154 - 163 contain a series of photographs of the 1939 inspection tour by Phra Phisansukhumwit (Prasop
Sukhum), Director of the Public Works Department, which later became the Department of Highways, Ministry of
Communications. Phra Phisansukhumwit inspected the construction of the the Chonnabot - Mahasarakham - Roi Et
Highway (present-day National Highway No.23, Chaengsanit Road), and the Mahasarakham - Kalasin Highway
(present-day National Highway No.213, Thinanon Road). The photographs were taken by Chao Kawilawong
na Chiangmai, Highway Engineer, Northeastern Highway Division, during October 24th - 26th, 1939.
